If Virat Kohli needs it, Dhoni will definitely return to Team India, Anil Kumble’s big statement

return of Dhoni

Will Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) return to Team India? Will Dhoni play T20 World Cup? Can Rishabh Pant be trusted? These are some such questions which must be roaming in the minds of Indian fans before the T20 World Cup to be held in October next year. Not all the questions have been answered by the former captain of Team India and the great leg spinner Anil Kumble. Kumble told how Dhoni can make a comeback in Team India and how Team India’s wicketkeeping problem can be solved.

Dhoni’s return depends on Virat?

In a special conversation with Cricketer, Anil Kumble said that if Dhoni (MS Dhoni) has to return to Team India, the IPL will be a very important tournament for him. He said, ‘It will depend on how MS (Dhoni) performs in the IPL and whether the Indian team feels that their services will be needed in the World Cup. In this way, he can be a part of the team, but we will have to wait and see.

KL Rahul

KL Rahul can be given the responsibility of keeping!

Recently, the current coach of the Indian team Ravi Shastri had said that KL Rahul can play a backup role in wicketkeeping in the T20 World Cup. Kumble also thinks like this. He said, ‘Rahul is a player that the Indian team can think of using. He can play this role in T20, he is good and he has done wicketkeeping for Karnataka. We know about his ability as a batsman in the limited-overs format. Rahul is a good choice.

By the way, Kumble said that whichever team India wicketkeeping should get 10 to 12 matches before the World Cup. Kumble said, “The option that the Indian team is thinking about, I think it should be confirmed at least 10-12 matches before the World Cup.”

As wicketkeeper and batsman Rishabh Pant has not done anything special. In the year 2019, he made many mistakes on the batting and wicketkeeping front. Pant scored 252 runs in 15 T20 innings in the year 2019 at an average of just 21.
